 TICKETING AND CORONAVIRUS

Where possible we have rescheduled shows due to take place in autumn 2020, and these will now take place in autumn 2021. If you have tickets to a 2020 Ocean event, your tickets will be valid for the new date, and we are working closely with venues to ensure you receive further ticketing updates and details as soon as they are available.

Your patience and support as we work through this process are very much appreciated. Please stay safe and we look forward to seeing you when we are able to gather safely and celebrate the oceans once again.

WHICH FILMS WILL I SEE?

The autumn 2021 Ocean Film Festival tour will feature the latest 2021 films from the most recent Ocean Film Festival. With wild seafaring advenutres, carefree characters and incredible ocean cinematography, you can see the 2021 film line-up here.

WHAT ABOUT THE 2020 FILMS?

While we couldn't join you in person for our fantastic 2020 film programme, we are now offering this as a virtual on-demand show that you can watch at any time. We've also got the 'Best of' Ocean Film Festival, featuring some of our favourite films from past editions of the tour, available on demand. As well as inspirational films, the virtual shows are presented by the Ocean team and include loads of bonus features, such as a kids' zone, and interviews with filmmakers. See more here.

WHAT IS THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL WORLD TOUR?

The Ocean Film Festival World Tour has its origins in Australia. The vision of the festival is to inspire you to explore, respect, enjoy and protect our oceans. Film is at the heart of the Ocean Film Festival Australia and by introducing this tour of the UK and Ireland we aim to share the best films from around the globe with our audiences.

Every year the Ocean Film Festival UK & Ireland Tour screens over two hours of the most inspirational, educational and entertaining films related to the ocean from independent film makers from across the globe.

The festival will include a unique selection of films of varying lengths and styles covering topics such as the oceanic environment, marine creatures, ocean related sports, coastal cultures and ocean lovers.

WHAT TIME DO THE SCREENINGS START AND FINISH?

Most screenings start at 7:30pm, have a 15 to 20 minute interval at around 9pm and finish around 10:30pm (so the screening runs for approximately three hours). Some screenings start at different times so please check your local screening details for start times.

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?

Head to the TICKETS page and then click on "BOOK TICKETS" for the appropriate location and date. If there is any problem with the ticket booking process for any show please let us know and we will seek to resolve it with the relevant box office as quickly as possible.

HOW MANY FILMS ARE SHOWN AT EACH SCREENING?

At each screening you will see around 7 to 9 films featuring inspirational tales and capturing ocean culture from across the globe. You can see more details of the film line up HERE

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL TOUR?

In summer 2021 we will be searching for volunteers to be involved with the 2021 Ocean Film Festival Tour. See full details HERE

IS THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL CHILD FRIENDLY?
Our screenings generally carry a 12A rating -  under 12s are welcome to attend if accompanied by a responsible adult - but as always it is down to the parent/guardian's discretion. We try to make the evenings as family friendly as possible, though it is possible that there may be some strong language in some of the films.

CAN I BRING MY BABY?
While we love Ocean Film Festival fans of all ages, some of our venues have specific policies in regards to babies so please check this on their website (or give them a call) to find out more. If you do bring along your baby to a screening, we kindly request that if your baby starts crying or becoming disruptive to audience members, that you pop out of the auditorium until he or she is settled.

CAN YOU BRING THE TOUR TO MY HOME TOWN?
We are always looking for new venues and locations to bring the Ocean Film Festival World Tour to in the UK and Ireland. There are many factors which dictate where we take the Tour and which locations are suitable – but if you have a suggestion for a new location with a capacity of at least 450 people (or a better venue in an existing location that we visit) then it would be great if you could get in touch and let us know and we will consider your suggestions.
