WHICH FILMS WILL I SEE?
The autumn 2024 Ocean Film Festival tour will feature the latest films from the most recent Ocean Film Festival. With wild seafaring adventures, carefree characters and incredible ocean cinematography, you can see the film line-up here.

I CAN'T COME TO A LIVE SHOW - HOW ELSE CAN I WATCH THE FILMS?
There are a range of Ocean Film Festival collections available to watch from home, on demand. As well as inspirational films, the virtual shows include bonus features, such as a kids' zone, and interviews with filmmakers. The Encore Channel also features film collections from the Banff and Top Dog Film Festivals, available to watch at any time.
WHAT IS THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL WORLD TOUR?
The Ocean Film Festival World Tour originated in Australia, with the aim of inspiring people to explore, enjoy and protect our oceans. The tour has been visiting the UK for the last 11 years, sharing the best ocean films from around the globe. The festival will include a selection of films of varying lengths and styles, covering topics such as the ocean environment, marine creatures, ocean-related sports and voyages, coastal cultures and ocean enthusiasts.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT A SCREENING?
Ocean Film Festival screenings bring together like-minded ocean enthusiasts with a love of film and a passion for the water. When you arrive at the screening you can expect a lively atmosphere, with time to enter our competitions, pick up some goodies and perhaps enjoy a drink before the show. The film programme will be split in two, with an interval and live prize draw (with awesome gear from our sponsors to be won) in the middle. At each screening you will see around 6 to 9 films of different lengths (from 5 minutes to about 40 minutes per film).

WHAT TIME DO THE SCREENINGS START AND FINISH?
Most screenings start at 7:30pm, have a 15 to 20 minute interval at around 8:45pm and finish around 10:15pm (so the screening runs for just under three hours). Some screenings start at different times so please check your local screening details for start times.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL TOUR?
Every year we look for enthusiastic volunteers to be involved with the Ocean Film Festival Tour. See full details HERE.

IS THE OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL CHILD FRIENDLY?
Our screenings generally carry a 12A rating – under 12s are welcome to attend if accompanied by a responsible adult – but as always it is down to the parent/guardian's discretion. We try to make the evenings as family friendly as possible, though it is possible that there may be some strong language in some of the films.
CAN I BRING MY BABY?
While we love Ocean Film Festival fans of all ages, some of our venues have specific policies in regards to babies so please check this on their website (or give them a call) to find out more. If you do bring along your baby to a screening, we kindly request that if your baby starts crying or becoming disruptive to audience members, that you pop out of the auditorium until he or she is settled.
CAN YOU BRING THE TOUR TO MY HOME TOWN?
We are always looking for new venues and locations for the Ocean Film Festival World Tour in the UK and Ireland. There are many factors that dictate where we take the tour and which locations are suitable, but if you have a suggestion for a new location with a capacity of at least 450 people (or a better venue in an existing location that we visit) then it would be great if you could get in touch and we will consider your suggestions.

WHY DON’T YOU SHOW MORE ACTION FILMS? WHY AREN'T THERE MORE FILMS ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT?
Experience has shown that most audience members prefer a mix of film styles, from watersports to marine life and the environment. However, some people have strong preferences for particular styles. This year we are running a People’s Choice award to better understand what films audiences want to see. You can vote for your favourite films by selecting the VOTE page from the menu above.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MAKE THE TOUR ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?
We are constantly evaluating our touring practices to reduce our environmental footprint and grow our positive social impact. You can read more about our sustainability policy HERE.
